The FishCoRe Projectโs Component 2, the Modern and Resilient Livelihood Investments or MARLIN, holds a back-to-back workshop on FishCoRe Matching Grants Program (FMGP) and Aqua-Business Technology Incubator (ABTI) on August 12-16, 2024 in Quezon City.
During the workshop, the participants underwent a series of discussions focusing on the guidelines for the processing of the Matching Grants Program, which will be helpful to the local fisherfolk and coastal communities.
In the same workshop, participants also learned about the operationalization of Aqua-Business Technology Incubator (ABTI) Centers which can help us in organizing fisherfolk, provide business skill dissemination, and strengthen institutional arrangements for research and extension services to the target FMAs.
The workshop was joined by the FishCoRe Projectโs National Project Management Office (NPMO), Regional Project Implementing Units (RPIUs), and FMA Coordinating Units (FCUs). It was also supported by FishCoRe Projectโs partner agencies, the National Fisheries Research and Development Institute (NFRDI), and the Philippine Fisheries Development Authority (PFDA).
