Every month of September, the Philippines observes MANA Mo, a platform that synchronizes the celebration of all maritime-related events and activities in a single month pursuant to the Proclamation No. 316, s. 2017.
This primarily aims to develop a sense of unity and pride among Filipinos in addressing the threats to the coastal and marine environment, increase awareness and appreciation for the Philippinesโ maritime and archipelagic nature and concerns, and encourage all Filipinos to work together for a sustainable and secure ocean economy.
This year’s theme, “๐๐๐ฆ๐๐ง๐ ๐ง๐ ๐๐๐ซ๐๐ ๐๐ญ๐๐ง: ๐๐๐ซ๐ ๐ฌ๐ ๐๐ข๐ง๐๐๐ฎ๐ค๐๐ฌ๐๐ง, ๐๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐ญ๐๐ง,” highlights the valuable resources offered by our maritime and archipelagic nation, which Filipinos are responsible for protecting and preserving for the present and future generations.
