The Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources- Regional Fisheries Office 1 held a blessing ceremony for the service vehicles provided under the Philippine Fisheries and Coastal Resiliency (FishCoRe) Project at the BFAR1 Office, Sevilla, San Fernando City, La Union, to bring forth divine guidance, protection, and success for the vehicles’ role in effective field operations in reaching coastal communities, and improving the management of fisheries resources.

In collaboration with the World Bank, this seven-year initiative aims to implement various fisheries interventions. The project will benefit over 1.15 million fisherfolk, small to medium enterprises, fisheries stakeholders, and residents in coastal communities across FMA 6 and 9.
