Baguio City – The Fisheries Management Area (FMA) 6 Scientific Advisory Group (SAG) convened a two-day technical workshop to develop harvest strategies for ๐๐ข๐ถ๐ณ๐ช๐ฅ๐ข ๐ต๐ถ๐ฎ๐ฃ๐ช๐ญ (lizardfish) and ๐๐ต๐ฆ๐ณ๐ฐ๐ค๐ข๐ฆ๐ด๐ช๐ฐ ๐ต๐ช๐ญ๐ฆ (fusilier), key species critical to the area’s marine ecosystem and fisheries industry.
The meeting opened with welcome remarks from BFAR CARโs Marx Perfecto Garcia, representative of RD Lois June Fermin followed by region 3 Director Wilfredo M. Cruz. The rigorous proceedings for Day 1 focused on ๐. ๐ต๐ถ๐ฎ๐ฃ๐ช๐ญ, with FMA 6 NSAP Data Analyst Maureen Noces presenting stock assessment results, highlighting trends in biomass, fishing pressure, and stock health.
