The 4th FMA6 FishCoRe Project Implementation Support Mission (ISM) has concluded its assessment of fisheries management challenges in Zambales, Pangasinan, La Union, Ilocos Sur and Ilocos Norte last March 2, 2025, highlighting concerns over declining fish stocks, policy enforcement, vessel monitoring, and the need for livelihood support for fisherfolk.

The mission, led by World Bank representatives Stephen Akaster, Agnes Balota, Milen Dyoulgerov, and Mahfuz Ahmed, aimed to monitor the progress of the project, evaluate the implementation of fisheries laws and regulations, and gather insights from local fisherfolk.
