The Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources – Regional Fisheries Office 1 participated in the first quarter of this year’s Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) today, March 13, 2025.

Provincial Fisheries Offices (PFOs) and Technology Outreach Stations (TOS) also took part in this activity showing readiness by exercising what should be done before, during, and after an earthquake.

NSED is a quarterly activity led by the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDDRMC) through the Office of Civil Defense (OCD), promoting awareness and preparedness for the welfare of the general public.
