Fourteen fisherfolk organizations from the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) and Region 1 participated in a three-day Training on Business Management cum Values Formation held from May 7 to 9, 2025 in San Juan, La Union.

The training aimed to strengthen the knowledge and skills of fisherfolk groups to effectively manage and sustain the approved livelihood subprojects under the FishCoRe Projectโ€™s Subcomponent 2.1 of MARLIN.

The activity was opened by Ms. Hydee Palma, Assistant Technical Coordinator of RPIU 6, who congratulated the proponent groups on the approval of their subprojects for funding. She also expressed hope that the training would support the successful implementation of their subprojects and help transform them into sustainable enterprises in the future.
