Earnest in their pursuit of knowledge for their livelihood, the Lower Wallayan Fisherfolk Association engaged in the Technical Enhancement Training conducted by BFAR SAAD Ilocos on July 8 – 9, 2025.
The members of the fisherfolk association not only listened to the lectures, but also participated in assessments to test their knowledge before and after the training and a workshop on Simple Cost and Return Analysis.
Oliva Ledda, served as the main speaker of the event, tackling topics such as Modified Intensive Tilapia Hatchery (MITH); Feeding Management; and Water Quality Management.
Representatives from the Municipal Agriculturist Office, Joan Lomboy, and from PFO La Union, Dexter Sarmiento were also present and delivered messages of encouragement and support.
