๐’๐š๐ง ๐…๐ž๐ซ๐ง๐š๐ง๐๐จ ๐‚๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ, ๐‹๐š ๐”๐ง๐ข๐จ๐งโ€” In its 78 years of service to the fisheries industry, the BFAR-Ilocos Region successfully held a Seafood KADIWA ng Pangulo on July 1, assisting eight exhibitors who served 561 consumers for a total of 299.18 kilograms of goods with a value of P73,000.00.

The exhibitors consist of assisted farmers/fisherfolk associations (FA) and partner institutions such as the Magnificent/Mangngalap ken Mannalon iti Baroro, Bacnotan, La Union, Inc. who sold fresh chilled milkfish, yellowfin tuna, grouper, and big-eye scad; Ubagan FA,for dried fish; Philippine Carabao Center, for yogurt milk with different flavors; Bureau of Jail Management and Penology, for handicrafts made by PDL ; and four (4) farm or fish producers assisted by the Department of Agriculture who also sold their goods.

This milestone event highlights BFARโ€™s unwavering commitment to supporting local products in the agri-fisheries sector, shortening supply chains and linking producers directly with consumers for accessible, affordable, and high quality fish and agricultural products.
