๐๐ฎ๐š๐ฅ๐ข๐Ÿ๐ข๐œ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐ฌ:
– Graduate with a degree in Chemistry
– Must be a licensed Chemist
๐‰๐จ๐› ๐ƒ๐ž๐ฌ๐œ๐ซ๐ข๐ฉ๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง:
a) Laboratory sample preparation for veterinary drug residue analysis;
b) Research on the use, monitoring, regulations, and updates pertaining to veterinary drugs, drug residues, and contaminants in aquaculture in both local and international communities;
c) Assist in the formulation of protocols, procedures, and policies related to veterinary drug residue analysis and the National Residue Control Program;
d) Routine analysis of Chloramphenicol, Nitrofurans, and Aflatoxins using ELISA for antibiotic residues in fish and fishery products for monitoring official samples and verification for export/imports;
e) Validation of test methods for the analysis of residues using HPLC in accordance with EU implementing regulation 2021/808 and PNS ISO/IEC 17025:2017 requirements;
f) Evaluation of results of analysis by other analysts;
g) Preparing the laboratory for EU and other trading partnersโ€™ audits relative to official analysis;
h) Audit of regional fisheries laboratories and the implementation of the National Residue Control Program including sampling and monitoring;
i) Other functions as may be assigned by the immediate supervisor.

a) Conduct physicochemical testing of water suitable for fisheries and aquaculture purposes;
b) Collect water samples in support to aquaculture production and fish mortality investigation;
c) Assist in fish kill investigations using water quality analyses;
d) Conduct method selection and method validation for water quality analysis in line with ISO/IEC 17025;
e) Maintain laboratory and field equipment for water quality analyses;
f) Render technical assistance on water quality to the regional offices and industry;
g) Act as Supply Coordinator of the Fish Health Laboratory;
h) Prepare reagents necessary for Seaweeds Culture;
i) Other functions as may be assigned by the immediate supervisor.
